Appointment Booking & Confirmation: Submitting an appointment request on the portal does not automatically guarantee a slot until reviewed and confirmed by the surgeon in the administrative portal.

It is the patient's sole responsibility to log into portal.drfaizanhussain.com to check whether their appointment request has been confirmed, rescheduled, or updated, or to reach out proactively via the provided official WhatsApp number or email (appointments@drfaizanhussain.com).
Surgical Emergencies, Cancellations & Rescheduling: As a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon handling acute facial trauma and hospital emergencies across multiple centers, Dr. Faizan Abdul Hussain Lakhdir may occasionally be called into urgent or extended surgical procedures. While every effort is made to honor confirmed portal appointments on time, we reserve the right to delay, reschedule, or reassign routine clinic appointments in the event of an unforeseen surgical emergency or hospital call, without financial or legal liability.
Digital Treatment Plans & Informed Consent: Following your initial in-person clinical consultation, your proposed procedure, treatment plan, and scheduled surgical date will be posted to your portal dashboard. By clicking to approve/consent to the procedure within the portal, you provide formal acknowledgment of the proposed treatment schedule and plan. This digital consent supplements standard in-clinic surgical consent forms signed prior to your procedure.
Pediatric Patients & Minors (Under 18): Patients under the age of 18 may not independently book appointments or provide digital procedure consent. A parent or legal guardian must operate the portal account and provide legal informed consent on the minor's behalf, and must accompany the minor to the clinic or hospital on the date of the consultation and procedure.
Post-Operative Symptom Logging: If you experience symptoms after a procedure, you may log them in the portal to request a follow-up appointment. For urgent concerns, always follow up via direct phone/WhatsApp contact.
Multi-Center Practice & Institutional Policies: Dr. Faizan Abdul Hussain Lakhdir practices across multiple healthcare facilities in Karachi, including Alamgir Dental Care (Alamgir Diagnostics), Taj Medical Complex, Naimat Begum Hospital, and Burhani Hospital Medical and Diagnostic Center. While clinical care is directed by Dr. Faizan, each hospital or diagnostic center operates under its own institutional rules regarding registration counters, fee collection, laboratory/radiology services, ward admissions, and operating theater policies.
3. Student & Academic Portal Terms (student.drfaizanhussain.com)
The Student Portal is an educational platform designed for dental students, house officers, and dental practitioners in Pakistan.
MCQ Practice & Curated Literature: All multiple-choice questions (MCQs), explanations, and "Article of the Day/Week" summaries are provided free of charge to assist in academic preparation and critical appraisal of dental literature. We make every effort to ensure clinical accuracy, but users must always verify clinical protocols against current standard textbooks and institutional guidelines before applying them to patient care.
Clinical Internship Applications & Tiered Privileges: Submitting an internship application on student.drfaizanhussain.com does not guarantee placement. Accepted candidates are subject to background verification, institutional rules at Alamgir Dental Care, and strict scope-of-practice tiers based on qualification:
4th / Final Year BDS Students: Restricted strictly to clinical observership.
House Officers: Permitted to perform observership and patient history taking under supervision.
Fresh Graduates: Permitted to perform supervised basic dental procedures after assessment.
Returning Practitioners (Career Break/Retired): Required to complete two (2) weeks of clinical shadowing, followed by two (2) weeks of supervised basic procedures.
Professional Conduct & Revocation: All interns and observers must adhere to strict patient confidentiality, infection control protocols, and ethical standards set by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and the Head of the Dental Department. Photographing patients or copying clinic records on personal devices without explicit authorization is strictly forbidden. We reserve the right to revoke portal access or terminate an internship placement immediately for unsafe clinical conduct or breach of patient privacy.
4. Zero Online Payments Policy & In-Clinic Billing
